The Shining Sea

Open the window，listen to the sound，

the voice of the sea，carried on the waves.

I hear the joyous stories from far over the sea，

I find new-born life in the depths of the sea.

I begin to be replenished with new life and active again.

Even when I open the window in a sad pensive mood，

the spacious sight of the open sea，

never fails to calm and invigorate my mind:
